In order to improve data visibility and reduce redundancy, efforts to reduce data silos should be reviewed often. As you know, the more locations you store the data needed to operate as required, such as in multiple spreadsheets or systems, the more places you have to go to retrieve it. Further, more locations may result in forgetting to update the data in all places. This can create conflicting data in each of the multiple sources, not to mention the security risks of having sensitive data entered in these multiple places as well.
This session will explore ways for determining if a system is the “right” system for aggregating data sources together to meet a majority of the institution’s requirements. Further, we’ll explore how this process can help meet the school’s policies, as well as those necessary to meet accreditation, state and federal guidelines.
